This pattern shows you how to make chair socks in both knit and crochet styles. Chair socks are decorative and useful. They give ordinary chairs a pop of color and they keep your floors from getting scratched. A bundle of these would be a great gift for new homeowners!
The crochet version is a little thicker, so they are better for protecting floors. The knit version is nice and stretchy and will fit a greater variety of chair legs.
The pattern comes as a PDF file, which should become available to download as soon as your payment clears. This is not the actual knit or crocheted item!
Difficulty: Easy to moderate. The crochet pattern is easy for beginners. The knit pattern requires you to know how to purl and sew a seam. Or, if you want you could use DPNs or a Magic Loop to create a seamless version.
Cost: 1 skein of 24/7 Cotton yarn is less than $10. It takes about half a skein or less to make 4 socks, so this is a great project for yarn leftovers.
