Finger crochet (or hand crochet) is the perfect technique for making a quick blanket. You can use jumbo or super bulky yarns to make giant stitches that work up in no time. This pattern shows you how to knit a small lap blanket or baby blanket using a jumbo-sized yarn that's easy to find at craft stores. You can also substitute smaller yarns with multiple strands held together. Once you get the technique down, you can adapt the pattern to make bigger blankets.
The pattern comes as a PDF file, which should become available to download as soon as your payment clears. This is not the actual crocheted blanket! If you are interested in purchasing a finished item, please contact me for a custom order.
Difficulty: Easy. You do not need to know how to crochet and you do not need a crochet hook, as you will just use your fingers.
Cost: This pattern requires 3 skeins of jumbo yarn, which varies in price from about $8-$10 per skein. You can also use 6 skeins of super bulky yarn, which is closer to $5 per skein.
